My True Love Gave to Me 12 Turkey Feathers....

Turkey Feathers, Artichokes and Sweet Grass

A gathering I went in November…dried artichokes were cut and treasured.

Familiar ornaments were unwrapped with care.

Sweet grass and dried found leaves are a studio supply on hand.

And my true love gave to me
all the turkey feathers he found as he walked along the road.

Christmas

~Anon

Every time a hand reaches out
To help another....that is Christmas

Every time someone puts anger aside
And strives for understanding
That is Christmas

Every time people forget their differences
And realize their love for each other
That is Christmas

May this Christmas bring us
Closer to the spirit of human understanding

Closer to the blessing of peace!

  9. Yes, your words are beautiful because they are so true. The cover picture of the flower and the zebra in the last picture are my favourite. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.

  11. Lovely, Leslie. Turkey feathers! Is this flock a cousin to the turkeys in La Connor? Nah, couldn't be, but I betcha they're beautiful, too. Merry Christmas.

  12. It's also Christmas when beauty visits us, either out of our own hand or through photographs as lovely as these. A very happy and beauty-full new year to you, Leslie!

  13. I am a little late leaving a comment for Christmas... you are so good at looking for and incorporating naturals into everything you do.
